2011 Feedback:
A Selection of Previous Years Feedback...
"The students from Beauchamp, both in-School and at the Regional Final have had the opportunity to understand how they perform under pressure, whilst having fun and completing a challenging task. The development of a group of peers with some friendship links, into a functioning team, has been at times traumatic but always impressive. The competitive element of the challenge has helped the teams measure their performance against others and has provided strong motivation for the students to achieve their best. A really beneficial and exciting experience for the students that they have both learnt from and enjoyed."

"I had a fantastic time as an expert in the London heat of LionHeart. The event was well structured and well run, and the kid?s enthusiasm and ingenuity was truly impressive. I think events like this are great at opening children?s eyes to their potential in future careers, as well as helping them to realize their creativity and skills that may not have been tested previously."

LIONHEART Financial Expert Help: Mr. Rowan Bomphray, Finance Graduate, Network Rail, CIMA ."Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm, organisation and energy and for letting me share in that. I had a brilliant day and learnt so much about what children are capable of. The project is challenging, inspiring and educational all in one go- and that?s just if you?re a judge!"
LIONHEART Teamwork Judge: Ms. Helen Tiffany - Norland Managed Services Ltd; Managing Director Bec Development Ltd.
"The structure & support of dedicated business people combined with the real world challenge provides great relevance for students. I have been both surprised and impressed by the response of students in so many ways to the challenge set for them. From the individual tests to the demands on the whole team there have been various contexts to aid the development of both students? intra & inter personal skills. We in particular were delighted that one of our students was asked to read a speech written by Nelson Mandela. She was brilliant. We were also really delighted with your students? performance in the task and final presentation."

LIONHEART Marketing Judge: Mr. Derek S C Milward, MBA, Dip. M. MCIM, MCMI, FHEA, Cert. Ed. Chartered Marketer (CIM), Director of the By-Text Limited Group of Companies."The LionHeart Challenge has given lots of inspiration to the whole team. Bringing lots of new ideas for the creative future that is ahead of us. What it basically does is it gives us a vision to what some of us may be doing in the future ahead of us. Our team has developed a number of skills today and have learned a lot from this experience. Firstly, we have learned that everyone must put in 110% to make it work, which means we need team work all the way. Another skill we have learnt is improvisation. If one plan fails we must improvise with a different idea. And finally that if you work hard enough at something, the impossible will be made possible."

"The LionHeart Challenge is a great introduction to the business disciplines and skills required in a commercial environment. The event encourages entrepreneurialism and team work, and I would strongly recommend that schools support their students in every way possible to take part. The design of the day is very similar to business challenges, and gives a flavour of working under pressure as a team - and as an individual with responsibilities and deadlines. A superb preparation for working life!"
LIONHEART Concept Judge: Mr. Darrell Matthews, Regional Director, IoD North West.
